Q: Does the BioSweep treatment process ever fail?
A: Usually when an odor returns there are unknown factors surrounding the origination or location of the smell. Carpet padding, air filters and other sponge-type porous material are the primary factors for odors reoccurring. Our technicians are highly trained to identify these possible odor traps so permanent odor removal can be achieved. If despite our best efforts, the odor we treated for is not removed or returns within 72 hours, we will make suggestions and changes to improve upon the outcome and treat the area again.
There are sometimes extreme circumstances where complete and total removal of an odor cannot be achieved without removal of carpet, removal or replacement of porous surfaces including wood, foam padding and drywall. Your technician will address this type of situation with you prior to treatment so that you may realistically plan to achieve the desired result.

Surface Defense Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How does Surface Defense actually work?
A: Surface Defense is an antimicrobial solution that binds at the molecular level with any treated substrate rendering the entire surface antimicrobial. It creates a physical barrier of carbon chains that are pointed up like swords, penetrating any microbe that lands on the treated surface. As a result, once treated it will prevent any bacteria, viruses or mold from growing on the treated surface for up to one year.
Q: Do surfaces need to be cleaned prior to Surface Defense treatment?
A: For Surface Defense to work effectively, all surfaces should be relatively clean through normal, routine cleaning practices.
Q: How long does it take to complete a Surface Defense application?
A: Surface Defense is rapidly applied using a specialized industrial grade electrostatic sprayer – so the process is quite fast and most areas can be treated within a few hours. Once applied, the antimicrobial coating air-dries within an hour and the treated areas can then be reoccupied.
Q: Can a surface treated with Surface Defense be cleaned afterward?
A: Yes, however it may not be necessary to use as much cleaning product following treatment.
Q: Will Surface Defense wash off or deteriorate?
A: No, Surface Defense will not wash off the treated surface. It can withstand temperatures up to 257º F and resist all organic solvents, strong acids and bases. It will begin to lose its maximum potency within 12 months, however, and should be re-applied during months 10 – 12 to assure ongoing protection.
Q: What if I can’t afford to treat the entire building with Surface Defense at this time?
